PADI Master Instructor

The PADI Master Instructor levels rewards you as an experienced PADI scuba instructor. You can apply for this level directly with PADI, if you meet the requirements for this level.

Requirements for the PADI Master Instructor (MI) certification:

• PADI IDC Staff Instructor
• PADI Instructor for minimum two years
• Emergency First Response Instructor
• Participated in three PADI Seminars
• Issued 150 PADI certifications:
  1. At least 50 continuing education certifications (Adventure Diver or higher level) that include:
     • 15 PADI Specialty Divers
     • 5 PADI Rescue Diversr
     • 5 PADI Divemasters
     • 5 PADI Assistant Instructor or
       staff two entire IDCs or
       staff one entire IDC and certify three additional PADI Assistant Instructors
  2. No more than 75 from PADI Discover Scuba Diving credits
  3. No more than 25 from PADI Specialty Diver courses without dives (Equipment Specialist, Project AWARE, etc.)
  4. No more than 10 from PADI Seal Team or PADI Master Seal Team registrations
  5. No more than 50 from PADI IDC staffing credits
• Issued 10 Emergency First Response course completion cards
• Used the complete PADI System of diver education including all appropriate PADI training materials when conducting PADI courses
• Issued PADI as the primary certification, and conducted PADI certification courses and experience programs using methods consistent with PADI Standards and philosophy as outlined in the PADI Instructor Manual and PADI’s Guide to Teaching
• Have no verified Quality Assurance violations within the past six months and no open quality assurance inquiries
• Demonstrated support of the PADI organization in its efforts to establish programs in aquatic education and conservation
